As-built Modelling
& Drawing
As-Built drawing and model is the representation of a building or space as it was actually constructed. As-built documentation is usually developed after construction stage or a particular phase of construction. It records and indicates the disparity between design documentation and how real buildings are actually built.

What is the requirement of Level of Development (LOD) for As-built models in HK?
According to Construction Industry Council (CIC) BIM standards General Version 2.1 – 2021, transiting from the construction stage to the as-built stage, field verification shall be carried out for developing and verifying the graphical and spatial information (LOD – G 500) and asset information (LOD – I 500) shall be input.

What are the applications of
As-built modelling and drawings?
1.
As-built models and drawings can be used for lease area audits, facility management activities, and asset tracking
2.
As-built models and drawings can show existing conditions before renovation or retrofit
3.
Accurate as-built data helps in detecting clashes in advance of the installation at each stage
Our Procedure for As-built Modelling and Drawing
- We adopt laser scanning technology to capture the site of as-builts
- Survey-grade point clouds and 360° immersive imagery are produced by NavVIs VLX – the mobile laser scanner, 10 times faster than a normal TLS scanner
- The actual site condition in point clouds is used to develop as-built models
- The workflow of as-built modeling becomes more efficient, and the accuracy of as-built models is ensured
